~Thanks |

Get a necro hero, enter SD, flag it just after the main enemy NPC(the middle one, infront of the rest) and make him/her use Holliday blues then Ice fort, then kill everything, and repeat.
(imo it doesnt take that long to lvl a proph toon to lvl 10 via d'alessios >eotn>sd) |

Are you implying just to make a ranger and do SD? |

positioning is the key for SD, and dont be the first one to aggro, there are tons of NPC's that will be meatshields for you. Im implying that alot of people make a necro/ranger before wintersday just to farm that quest.( You can be ready within an hour really) |

I set it up pretty well
- Flag hero a little behind front NPC - right when it turns red, have Olias cast Holiday Blues then Snow Fort - have NPC's run up to fight, and I follow afterwards (they get aggro first) THen it goes' downhill from that. I guess Ill just make a ranger , It's just I want to get the title on my warrior. |

It would help if you tamed an animal on your Necro hero to ball them better.

May seem counter-intuitive, but try equipping a caster weapon (staff or wand). This should keep you out of the front line at caster range when you c-space. Also, if things are going badly, try running back towards the EoTN entrance where there are usually a couple of NPCs that will soak up aggro.

This, although i have problems understanding what the exact problem is... afaik all players have the same skillbar (minus 1 skill that is different for each profession). So when there is a problem i assume it is triggered by your weapon (when you attack with a melee weapon like sword, axe and hammer you character may move towards your target). Using something like a staff should fix this. I dont think there are counterparts for temporary using a staff because stuff like health and energy are fixed in SD.
Tbh i never did SD on my warrior... last time i did this using this with a Ritualist and a ranger hero; fast & never had problems. Maybe i gonna try this soon with a warrior (after xmas). Last edited by GODh; Dec 25, 2011 at 11:38 AM // 11:38.. |

For the vanguard title with a warrior you could do the last mini mission of guild wars beyond. It's easy and will nett you more vanguard points per hour than with snowball with a warrior. Make a ranger for snowball and the wintersday items, after this holiday is over max your warrior quite easy with this :/

@ OP:
Hero AI tends to have them running out of the snow fort rather than staying put to soak up the aggro. Disable the third skill (Snow Down the Shirt), it's a touch skill which means they run up to targets. Also, manually have necro hero use "Mmm, Snowcone!" right after Ice Fort. HB sacrifices half their health, Snowcone helps them stay alive a couple seconds more. Otherwise, yes, if you have access to them perhaps one of the repeatable HotN quests -- they reward Vanguard points and war supplies. Also, since you're solo, you get all the holiday/reg drops. |
